[ANALYSIS] Chase Amazon.ca Rewards Visa Card

One of the more attractive credit cards out there, known as the Chase Amazon.ca Rewards Visa Card. Below are the highlight of the credit card:

  • No annual fee
  • Earn a $20 Amazon Gift Certificate upon approval
  • Earn 2 cents for every $1 spent on Amazon.ca purchases
  • Earn 1 cent for every $1 spent on all other purchases
  • Once you reach $20 in cash back, it automatically credits your statement
  • No foreign transaction fees

I’ve been waiting for the sign up bonus to increase and it finally did, from $15 to $20 (33.3% increase). There does not seem to be an expiry on the additional $5, making this card much more attractive.

The reward redemption is hassle free, because it automatically credits your statement (in cash) without you worrying about it. The no foreign transaction fees is just spoiling us.

Anyone who doesn’t like paying annual fees and travels often enough, then this card better be in your wallet. It probably the top no annual fee cash back travel credit card out there for Canadians. I am glad that Chase decided to improve their products, especially since we’ve seen other financial institutions starting to devalue their products. So there is hope for consumers that competition is still alive.

Thumbs up to Chase and hopefully they will continue to increase the value of their products because us consumers will find the superior products.

    1. It’s pretty good. Unless the Canadian dollar is weak then it might be more valuable to have a US credit card assuming you have some US cash that you exhanged for when the Canadian dollar is strong. Lots of “ifs” though.
